I believe Mr. Day to be really insane ..." -- 1 autograph letter signed : 26 Jul 1843 : (BLES 3.261a) : from Pater Noster Row : begins, "We forwarded to Mr. Tauchnitz the agreement on the 18th of this month, which was the first opportunity after having received it. He was the older son of Thomas Norton Longman (1771-1842), and the brother of William Longman (1813-1877), both of whom were his business partners at the Longman & Co. publishing firm.
